Strumpshaw Hall Steam Railway, May 2003

Every Spring Bank Holiday weekend, Strumpshaw Hall, near Brundall, east of Norwich holds the largest traction engine rally in the East of England.  On arrival at the site a narrow gauge train caught my eye disappearing into the distance.  The motive power turned out to be a strange apparition on what may have once been a small Ruston tractor, which had acquired a dummy boiler, cab and face on the smokebox.  Of much more interest was the surprising find of a rather forgotten looking Jung 0-4-0WT sitting at the back of the museum shed.

Hiding in the back of the museum building at Strumpshaw was this Jung 0-4-0WT named ‘Ginette Marie’. (25/05/2003)
