K1 Returns - September 8th 2006

An added bonus to the 2006 Superpower weekend was the entry of pioneer Tasmanian Garratt K1 into service where it worked on the Caernarfon to Dinas shuttles for most of the weekend.  Before the loco entered public service the K1 Group ran a special train for those who had supported the restoration and other guests on the Friday afternoon.  The occasion was blessed with perfect blue skies warm weather, just the job for a nice set of photographs of this unique locomotive getting to grips with the WHR on it's own.
