Super Power Weekend, September 2004

By early afternoon the rain was finding it's way into every thing, including the camera, so to try and keep dry we decided to ride the double-headed mixed train from Caernarfon to Rhyd Ddu and back.  To our dismay the use of rover tickets for the weekend meant that nobody got off the train when it rolled into Caernarfon, the only space for us was in the open carriages, which were strangely empty...  It seems that the trick is to sit in the middle of the carriage which keeps you fairly dry, but it didn't help with the gales that accompanied the rain!

Later we went to Tryfan Junction to see the strange sight of Prince propelling the shuttle stock from Waunfawr to Dinas; I think the train crew were rather surprised to see anyone still out taking photographs!  The weather showed little sign of improvement, so we headed towards Waunfawr, food, drink, warmth and most importantly - a roof!
