Welshpool & Llanfair Light Railway

The Welshpool & Llanfair has always been something of a poor relation in my photo collection, I think that this is because the line was always nothing more than a pleasant stop on the way to the Talyllyn or Ffestiniog. So it remained for nearly 30 years until I spent a day there in 1995 and found a line that was both fascinating and photogenic. This selection of photographs were mostly taken during 'short breaks' on the way to and from other lines, a better selection will follow showing what I discovered when I made the effort to spend a whole day around the line.
