On the footplate of 'Lilla' in the Ffestiniog's Minffordd Yard.The occasion was the 1999 Vintage Gala where I spent two hours driving 'Lilla' as part of the Drive an Engine/Slate Shunt scheme. The slate wagons were out earning their keep in the gravity train, so for the weekend, the 'Slate Shunt' turned into the 'Skip Shunt' with a motley collection of skips and Hudson wagons provided for the occasion by Fred Howes.
