Ffestiniog 50 - The Golden Jubilee Gala

Waving our Photo Permits at the steward on the gate, we waltzed into Boston lodge to have a look at what was going on on Sunday morning.  The loco roster lasted almost no time at all as Mountaineer was seen rattling over the Cob light engine to go rescue Taliesin at Minffordd; Owen Chapman was having worrying problems with a leaking firebox tubeplate.  There was supposed to be a three engine line-up of England engines at Harbour station, but Welsh Pony never made it across the Cob, despite being all dressed up in her 1930s Sunday Best.  In amongst all the rush to get the Funkey out to keep the timetable going, Merddin Emrys ended up being left all alone and in steam in the yard.
