All Change At The Talyllyn - September 2004

After what seems a very long time, the former Corris Railway Kerr Stuart No 4 'Edward Thomas' has returned to service with a new boiler built by Bartlett Engineering in South Wales. Perhaps the reason it seems such a long time that No 4 has been out and about is that the locomotive that was taken out of service in 2000 was the alter ego 'Peter Sam', in which guise No 4 had been running since at least 1990. I was rather shocked to find that last time I took a photograph of a green Edward Thomas was way back in 1983!
