Hunslet Hundred Gala, May 1993
The weekend changed my views of the Ffestiniog and I have returned every year since, now on an ever more frequent basis, and am now fully indoctrinated into the 'Ffestiniog Family', interestingly I know that the weekend had a similar impact on quite a few other people. My eldest son, James, is also well on the way to FR brainwashing, this of course is only fair, after all his impending arrival was the reason we didn't have our normal summer holiday in 1993, so instead we went for a weekend break to North Wales...
The FR followed the Hunslet Hundred gala with other spectaculars every 24 months throughout the 1990s, all of which should appear on the site given time, but none of them ever quite surpassed 'The Hunslet Hundred'.
