Merddin Emrys returned up the hill with Moelwyn tagging along at the rear of the train. Watching trains from the lineside can give rise to mental blockages; not until I saw Moelwyn with Carriage 15 creeping into Tanygrisiau late in the afternoon did I realise that the Victorian set was now rather short, it still looked the part behind Merddin Emrys. No 15 had succumbed to a hot box in the morning and a gentle run down to Boston Lodge was it's last appearance of the weekend.
