Palmerston spent the morning acting as Bottom Shunter. This sequence of photographs show Palmerston bringing a rake of slate wagons out of Minffordd Yard before they were attached to a leter up train (seen later at Penrhyn). Visible in these photographs is the recently constructed replica of the down platform shelter, offically opened later in the day.
